Adams Golf debuts new Idea forged irons

The Adams Golf Idea forged iron

Adams Golf is one of today’s more consistent equipment companies. That is, the Plano, Texas, company doesn’t try to re-invent itself every 12 to 18 months, it stays true to what’s been successful.

In that regard, Adams Golf’s Idea franchise might be the most successful in its history, so the company is introducing the Idea forged iron set (4-PW).  Although Adams Golf has had forged irons in its product lines, the company isn’t associated with forgings, but it has built enough brand equity through the years for players to take a serious look. Long-time Adams Golf staffer Tom Watson has the irons in his bag on the Champions Tour.

Each club in the set features forged 8620 carbon steel head construction, a thin top line and, according to Adams Golf, is triple milled (on the face, grooves and cavity) for more exacting performance from club to club.  The progressive offset through the entire set offers better players superior control and workability of their ball flight.

The irons sets will be available beginning May 5 with a suggested retail price of $1,099.99 (graphite) or $899.99 (steel).
